A magical evening

Leah Wentworth, youth services librarian for McCracken County Public Library, presents Carter Hall, 4, of Paducah, with a handcrafted sorting hat from the popular Harry Potter books Thursday evening during the library's Hogwarts Homecoming, an event celebrating J.K. Rowling's books and her characters. The magically-themed occasion included wizard school stations, photo opportunities, a dance floor and a "horcrux" scavenger hunt.
