Hundreds of protestors and dozens of counter-protestors gathered near the Robert E. Lee statue in Murray after a large group marched from the gates of Murray State University to the Calloway Count Courthouse Lawn to advocate for moving the Confederate Soldiers monument. Protests against the statue have become commonplace over the last few months, and have continued despite the Calloway County Fiscal Court's recent resolution in support of leaving the statue in place.
