Donna Thompson has joined Independence Bank as a customer service representative. She has over 35 years of banking experience, including previous positions with Peoples Bank and Regions Bank.

Riley Beth Willett (Smith) has joined FNB Bank, serving the Mayfield-Graves County market as a mortgage loan officer. She has worked as a Realtor for the past four years. Willett is a graduate of Graves County High School and holds a bachelor's degree in integrated studies from Murray State University. She earned a master's in business administration from the University of Cumberlands in 2017.

Cara L. Hammonds, MD, rheumatologist, has joined the medical staff at Marshall County Hospital in Benton. She is a graduate of Livingston Central High School and Murray State University. She earned her doctor of medicine degree from the University of Louisville School of Medicine, completed an internal medicine residency at the University of Cincinnati and a rheumatology fellowship at Vanderbilt University. Hammonds is board certified in internal medicine and rheumatology and a member of the American College of Rheumatology. She is also continuing her rheumatology practice at Crittenden Health Systems in Marion.

Salem Springlake Health and Rehabilitation was honored recently at the Kentucky Association of Health Care Facilities' quality awards banquet with the Best of Kentucky - Nursing and Rehabilitation recognition. The Best of Kentucky - Nursing and Rehabilitation honorees were selected based on CMS star ratings and satisfaction surveys of residents and families.

Dr. Matthew Price, OB/GYN, has joined Women's Health of Murray at Murray-Calloway County Hospital. He comes to MCCH after working at Primary Care Medical Center since 2007. Price completed his undergraduate degree at Murray State University in biology and chemistry. He earned his M.D. from the University of Louisville College of Medicine in 2003, and continued with his residency in obstetrics and gynecology also at U of L.

Amy Houghtling has been named director of digital sales at WPSD Local 6 and The Paducah Sun. In that role, she will be responsible for sales leadership, driving digital revenue, product and vendor selection, as well as sharing her experience and knowledge with small- to medium-sized businesses to help them grow. Houghtling comes to Paxton Media Group from Cox Media Group in Dayton, Ohio. Cox Media Group, a subsidiary of Cox Enterprises, was formed in 2009 by combining Cox Radio, Cox Television, Cox Newspapers, CoxReps and various digital businesses into a single integrated broadcasting, publishing and digital media company. Houghtling has over 15 years of digital media experience with a focus on health care, automotive, home improvement and recruitment industries. She has earned the IAB's digital media sales certification, a globally recognized, accredited professional certification created specifically for digital media sales. She has also earned Google Analytics and Google Ads Certifications.

Bradley Shoulta has joined FNB Bank as a deposit officer. He previously worked as a merchant services account executive and finance manager. Shoulta is a graduate of the University of Kentucky with a bachelor's degree in business administration-marketing. He received his MBA from the University of Newcastle, Australia, and attended Kentucky Bankers Association banking school.

Liam Neimeyer has been appointed Ohio Valley Resource reporter and WKMS assistant news director. He covers agriculture and infrastructure in Ohio, Kentucky and West Virginia for the OVR, a regional journalism collaborative reporting on economic and social change in the region. WKMS is one of seven public media outlets that have partnered to form the OVR to strengthen news coverage of the area's most important issues. OVR reports are broadcast each Monday on WKMS. Neimeyer is a graduate of Ohio University. He has reported for public radio stations across the country from Appalachia to Alaska, most recently as a reporter for WOUB Public Media in Athens, Ohio.
