Blythe CPAs & Advisors, a Paducah-based accounting and financial services firm, announces the following promotions:
• Catherine Blythe DuPerrieu, CPA - partner. She is responsible for the firm's assurance services. Her focus is in providing audits of financial statements to small and mid-sized privately held companies and employee benefit plans. DuPerrieu is a certified public accountant and earned her bachelor's degrees in accounting and finance from the University of Kentucky.
• Andrew Higdon DuPerrieu, CFP - partner. He provides consulting services and oversees firm operations. He is an investment advisor representative with Blythe Investment Advisors, where he provides investment management services to businesses and individuals. DuPerrieu is a certified financial planner professional and earned his bachelor's degree in finance from the University of Kentucky.
• Heather Jane Campbell, CPA - manager. She assists in the management of the firm's assurance services. She joined the firm in 2014. Campbell is a certified public accountant and earned her bachelor's degree in accounting and master's degree in business administration from Murray State University.
• JoAnna Sue Harper, CPA - senior. She assists with the firm's assurance and accounting services. She joined the firm in 2016. Harper is a certified public accountant and earned her bachelor's degree in accounting and master's degree in business administration from Murray State University.

Amy Byrd, APRN, has joined the staff of Mercy Health-Paducah Ear, Nose and Throat. She will begin seeing patients Sept. 9. Byrd brings to the practice more than 23 years of service and experience in the Paducah community. Byrd earned her nurse practitioner degree from the University of Southern Indiana in Evansville. She is certified with the American Nurses Credentialing Center. Byrd has 10 years of experience as a practicing otorhinolaryngology APRN and 13 years as a registered nurse with Mercy Health-Lourdes Hospital.

Sam Crane was recently promoted to loan serving specialist lead at Paducah Bank. Crane, an eight-year veteran at the bank, is a graduate of Princeton Community High School in Princeton, Ind. She also attended Murray State University. Paducah Bank is a locally-owned bank with six locations in Paducah and Louisville.

Shannah Poindexter, Lourdes Hospital's community relationship manager for its home health and hospice departments, has received the Leader of the Year Award from Paducah Professional Women Inc. Poindexter has worked at Lourdes since 2012. She has served as the president of Paducah Professional Women for the past year. She is a previous recipient of the organization's Emerging Professional Award. Poindexter was selected as this year's recipient based on her community involvement, including her volunteer work with numerous nonprofit boards and event committees.

Steven Elder, wealth management trust advisor, US Bank, was recently awarded the Certified Trust & Financial Advisor (CTFA) professional certification from the American Bankers Association. The CTFA certification is awarded to individuals who demonstrate excellence in the field of wealth management and trust. The CTFA exam covers many areas including fiduciary and trust activities, financial planning, tax law and planning, investment management and ethics.
