Teddy bears will bring smiles to pediatric patients as a seasonal toy store donated 30 stuffed animals to the Lourdes Foundation.
Paducah Pediatrics will use the bears for patients who are scared or need comfort while undergoing procedures such as vaccinations or tests. The bears, donated by Go Games in Kentucky Oaks Mall, will also be given to pediatric patients who are admitted to the hospital or given to older siblings visiting the Little Miracles Birthing Center when a baby is born.
“The hospital or doctor’s office can be a scary place for children,” said Tara Miller, Lourdes vice president and chief philanthropy officer. “These teddy bears will provide comfort and security to help our pediatric patients when they are afraid. We appreciate this thoughtful donation from Go Games that will bring smiles to our young patients’ faces.”
