Alfred Delk Sr.
MAYFIELD — Alfred H. Delk Sr., 83, of Mayfield died Friday, November 1, 2013, at Jackson Purchase Medical Center.
Mr. Delk was a retired farmer and an Army veteran. He was a member of Farmington Church of Christ.
He is survived by his wife, Lynn Puckett Delk; two sons, Alfred H. Delk Jr. of Murray and Terry L. Delk of Clear Springs; three daughters, Debbie Smith of Mayfield, and Pam Weaks and Melissa Harrison, both of Farmington; five stepsons, Eddie Puckett of Wingo, Jeff Puckett of Paducah, Greg Puckett of Mayfield, Mark Puckett of Cuba and Jim Puckett of Mayfield; three stepdaughters, Gayna Taylor of Mayfield, Lisa Couch of Columbia, Tenn., and Beth Sullivan of Mayfield; 13 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; 25 stepgrandchildren; and four stepgreat-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Hallie Puckett Delk; one son, Johnny Delk; one granddaughter; two brothers; and three sisters. His parents were Oscar Vance and Delmar Bell Delk.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, November 5, 2013, at Byrn Funeral Chapel in Mayfield with Stan Colley and Mike Tucker officiating. Burial will follow at Farmington Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Monday, November 4, 2013, at Byrn Funeral Home.
