BROOKPORT, Ill. — Mrs. Pearline Kickasola, age 89, of Brookport, IL., passed away on Wednesday, October 30, 2013, at the Metropolis Nursing and Rehabilitation in Metropolis.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, November 2, 2013, at the Mt. Sterling Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Brookport. Bro. David LeNeave and Bro. Doug Hughes will officiate. Burial will follow in the Mt. Sterling Cemetery.
Pearline was a member of the Mt. Sterling Cumberland Presbyterian Church for 68 years and a teacher in the Southern Pope County and Brookport schools for over 39 years.
Pearline is survived by her husband, L.T. Kickasola; 2 daughters, Sharon Pegram and husband Lee of Brookport and Karen Reichert and husband Skip of Grand Chain, IL.; 5 grandchildren, Shane Pegram and wife Heather, Sean Pegram and wife Jennifer, Ginger Taylor, Penny Bellamey and husband Tim, and Jasson Reichert and wife Leah; 12 great-grandchildren; 1 brother, Lawrence Thomas; 1 sister, Shirley McCoy; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Claudia (Stapleton) Thomas; 1 brother, Ronnie Thomas; 1 sister, Violet Keef; and 1 infant child.
Visitation will be held from 6 until 8 p.m. on Friday, November 1, 2013, at the Aikins-Farmer Brookport Chapel.
