EMERALD ISLE, N.C. — Kayla Jo Copeland and Cody Micah Lokits were united in marriage April 13 at The Islander at Emerald Isle with the Rev. Bruce Coble officiating. Music was presented by Daniel Griffin of Nashville, Tenn., vocalist and guitarist.
The bride is the daughter of Kevin and Laura Copeland of Boaz, Ky.
The groom is the son of Kirk and Christine Lokits of Charlottesville, Va.
The bride chose Mrs. Sonya Copeland of Symsonia, Ky., as her matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Miss Madison McMahan of Nashville, Tenn., Mrs. Kelsey Oyler of Frankfort, Ky., Miss Lauren Estes of Lexington, Ky., and Mrs. Nicole Snow of Paducah.
The groom chose Micah Forman of Lexington, Ky., as his best man. Groomsmen were Cory Prewitt of Murfreesboro, Tenn.; Erickson Haire and Jordan Stich, both of Lexington, Ky.; and Gregg Morton of New York City. Serving as ushers were Matt Howard of Lexington, Ky., and Dean Sizemore of Nashville, Tenn.
A reception followed. Johnna Forman of Lexington, Ky., attended the guest registry.
The bride is a 2008 graduate of Graves County High School in Mayfield, Ky., and earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting in 2012 from the University of Kentucky at Lexington. She is employed by RideCharge Inc. in Alexandria, Va.
The groom is a 2006 graduate of Ryle High School in Union, Ky., and earned a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering in 2010 from the University of Kentucky at Lexington. He is employed by Ulliman Schutte Construction in Washington, D.C.
The couple reside in Alexandria, Va.
