METROPOLIS, Ill. — Mr. Charles David Jessing, 78, of Manchester, Tenn., passed away Friday, October 11, 2013, at his home.
Visitation with the Jessing family will be Friday, November 1, 2013, from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at Miller Funeral Home in Metropolis, Illinois.
Mr. Jessing was born in Metropolis, Ill., the son of the late Albert and Emma Goyert Jessing. He retired from Arnold Engineering Development Center as an Operating Engineer. He also transferred vehicles for area car dealerships. He served his country in the Korean War. He attended St. Paul United Methodist Church.
Mr. Jessing is preceded in death by four brothers; and three sisters. He is survived by one son, Kent Jessing, one daughter, Lisa Bush; their mother, Betty Lewis Jessing, one stepdaughter, Edna Murray, all of Manchester, Tenn.; one brother, Joe Jessing of Midlothian, Texas; one sister, Jean Bichon of Paducah, Ky.; two grandchildren, Jonathan Bush and Taylor Bush; and one stepgranddaughter, Magan Morris, all of Manchester, Tenn.
Internment will be at Round Springs Cemetery in Massac County.
