CADIZ — Austin “Jack” Clawson III, 84, of Cadiz died Sunday, October 20, 2013, at Princeton Health and Rehabilitation Center in Princeton.
He was a U.S. Navy veteran serving during the Korean Conflict. He worked in retail clothing and as a interior/exterior decorator. He was a member of Grace Episcopal Church in Hopkinsville.
He is survived by two sons, Robert Clawson of Antioch, Calif., and James Austin Clawson of Cadiz; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his father, Austin Clawson II; mother and stepfather, Louise Tenney and Harold Howe; his wife, Jane Clawson; one son, John Allen Clawson; and two stepbrothers.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, October 24, 2013, at Goodwin Funeral Home with the Rev. Scott Wilson officiating. Burial will follow at East End Cemetery in Cadiz. Friends may call from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
