TEMPE, Ariz. — Mary Edith Park, 80, of Tempe, Arizona, passed away peacefully on October 16, 2013.
She was born in 1933 to Marion and Mary Emery in Paducah, Kentucky, where she graduated from Paducah Tilghman High School. She married Charles M. Park in 1951 just before he entered the Navy. In 1953, their son, Charles Lee Park, was born, and in 1956 they moved to Phoenix, Ariz. She worked in several positions at a dental supply office and later, with her husband, ran an automotive repair business until they retired in 1996. Mary Edith was devoted to her family and friends, loved travel and outdoors, and was fond of classic movies, crafts, and antiques.
She is survived by her husband of 62 years; her son and daughter-in-law; and two grandchildren.
A celebration of her life will take place at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, October 26, 2013, at Hansen Chapel of Prayer, 108 N. 56th St., Mesa, AZ.
