MAYFIELD — David Pullen, 80, of Mayfield died Thursday, October 10, 2013, at the Mills Health and Rehabilitation in Mayfield.
Mr. Pullen was born on June 30, 1933, in Farmington, Kentucky, and attended the Farmington School System. He was a life-long member of the Church of Christ.
Mr. Pullen served in the United States Army and was honorably discharged, having attained the rank as Staff Sergeant. Returning from the service, he worked for Covington Brothers Wholesale in Mayfield, KY. He then worked for 29 years for the American Snuff Company as a sales representative and ultimately retired as a regional sales manager.
He was part owner of Advertising Ideas, a very successful specialty advertising company, for over 20 years and retired in December of 2011.
Mr. Pullen was preceded in death by his parents, Jim and Nina Pullen; brothers, Ben, Bill, Gipson and Terry; and sisters, A. Faye Allberts and Margaret Hadfield and wife Linda. Survivors include nephews, nieces and cousins, his stepson, Gary Breedlove and dear friend Doris Diehl.
Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 A.M. Monday, October 14, 2013, at Byrn Funeral Home in Mayfield. Mike Tucker and Ron Hadfield will officiate. Interment will follow in the Highland Park Cemetery.
Pall Bearers will be Gary Breedlove, Ron Hadfield, Greg Hadfield, Rodney Pullen and Marty Wooten. Visitation will be held from 5-9 P.M. Sunday, October 13, 2013, at Byrn Funeral Home.
