VIENNA, Ill. — A celebration of life service for Hiram Wesley Dunn, 89, of Vienna will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, October 3, 2013, at Bailey Funeral Home in Vienna. Burial will be in Vienna Fraternal Cemetery with military rites conducted.
Mr. Dunn died at 1:27 p.m. Friday, September 27, 2013, at his home.
He was an Army veteran of World War II.
Mr. Dunn worked as a barber in Vienna and later moved to Canada, where he operated a chain of beauty salons. He was also the owner of Country Chalet, an importing business.
Surviving are his wife, Helen Dunn; two daughters, Maria Dunn Vaughn of Vienna and Teri Dunn Farrow of Cobourg, Ontario, Canada; three grandchildren; a great-grandson; a stepgrandson; a brother, Ernie Dunn of Metropolis, Ill.; three sisters, Mavis Ford of Elkhart, Ind., and Glenna Stucker and Gladys Linenfelser, both of Jerseyville, Ill.
Hiram was preceded in death by a sister. His parents were Arthur “Preacher” Dunn and Roxie Taylor Dunn.
