Forrest Pearl Smith, 90, of Paducah, passed away at 6:45 p.m. Monday, September 16, 2013, at Parkview Nursing & Rehabilitation.
Mr. Smith was a retired Power Foreman at Union Carbide. He was a member of Reidland Church of Christ, Reidland Band Boosters, Cub Master of Pack 18 of Reidland, and veteran of the Army during WWII, and a Substitute Teacher at Reidland Middle School and High School.
He is survived by two sons, Benjamin Allen Smith (Mary Linda) of Greenville, Texas, and David Lynn Smith (Cynthia) of Katy, Texas; one granddaughter, Allison Virginia Smith of Katy, Texas; two nieces, Pamela Culp of Baton Rouge, La., and Melanie Roby of Franklin, Tenn.; and two nephews, Keith Culp of Paducah and Tommy Culp of Benton.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia (Culp) Smith; his parents, Pearl Smith and Dorothy (Farmer) Smith; brother, Archie B. Smith; and sister, Mary Lou Chittenden.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, September 24, 2013, at Hughes Funeral Home of Paducah with Terrell Lee officiating. Entombment will follow at Marshall County Memory Gardens Mausoleum with full Military Honors.
Visitation will be from 12 p.m. until service time Tuesday at the funeral home.
