ARLINGTON — Donald Wayne Carter, 59, died Wednesday, September 18, 2013, at 10:01 a.m. at his residence in Arlington, Ky.
Donnie had attended The Meeting Room at Columbus, Ky., and he accepted the Lord at a very young age. Donnie worked for many years with his Dad as a carpenter and he had also been superintendent over several commercial buildings, both in Kentucky and in Tennessee. He was a member of Carpenter’s Union Local # 357 of Paducah. He enjoyed gardening and growing flowers, especially roses. He also enjoyed fishing and hunting.
He is survived by his father, Amos Carter of Clinton; his sister, Wanda Jerone Clark and husband, Eddie of Clinton; his son, Joshua Wayne Carter and wife, Kelsey of Bardwell: his grandson, Jaden Fox Carter of Bardwell; and his niece, Melissa Jeron Clark of Arlington.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Lou (Cobb) Carter.
Services for Donnie will be held Saturday, September 21, at 1:00 p.m. at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Arlington with Bro. Bill Davis officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery near Clinton, Ky.
Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday, September 20, 2013, at the funeral home.
