WINGO — Gerald Wayne Wainscott, 63, of Wingo died at 6:12 a.m. Thursday, September 12, 2013, at his daughter’s home in Fancy Farm.
He was a farmer and a U.S. Navy veteran of the Vietnam War.
He is survived by three daughters, Amanda Hendley of Fancy Farm, Melissa Driver of Gasden, Ala., and Ginger Myatt of Dixon, Tenn.; two sons, Christopher Wainscott of Jackson, Mich., and Jason Wainscott of Martin, Tenn.; two sisters, Janice White and Mary Wainscott, both of Martin; one brother, Roy Wainscott of Martin; 13 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Kathy Hobbs Wainscott, and one sister. His parents were LeRoy and Mary Ruth Doster Wainscott.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, September 16, 2013, at Brown Funeral Home in Mayfield with the Rev. Bobby Crittendon officiating. Burial will follow in Pinson Cemetery with military rites. Friends may call after 9 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.
