METROPOLIS, Ill. — Mrs. Sarah (Korte) McIntosh, 51, of Metropolis, Ill., passed away Monday, September 9, 2013.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, September 14, 2013, at Lutheran Church of the Cross. Rev. David Deem will officiate. Burial will follow in Metropolis Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. McIntosh graduated from University of Kentucky with a computer science degree and as a member of Kappa Alpha Theta Sorority. She was a Vice President at Distributors Warehouse in Paducah and the first baptized member of the Lutheran Church of the Cross where she retained her membership.
Sarah was a loving mother and wife. She lived a life of gratification with utmost love and devotion to her family. She knew her interpretation for the meaning of life and wanted nothing for herself. Instead, she wanted the love amongst family and friends and to love more the things that are spiritual and eternal, rather than material and temporal. Sarah applied with all her heart the wisdom taught by Jesus Christ.
Sarah is survived by her husband, Philip McIntosh of Metropolis; son, Nathan McIntosh and wife Smith; daughter, Lauren Niemeyer and husband Preston; grandson, Greer McIntosh; parents, Walter and Wanda Korte and Jackie and Max Korte; brother, Steve Korte and wife Caroline; sisters, Lisa Pullen and husband Mike, Jenny Devers and husband Dempsey, Lori Durr and husband Ryan and Grace White and husband Ryan; several cousins; and several nephews and nieces.
Friends may call at Aikins-Farmer Funeral Home Friday, September 13, 2013, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m.
