Services for Elizabeth Ann Thompson, 70, of Paducah will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 13, 2013, at Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Joe N. Flagg officiating. Burial will be in Maplelawn Park Cemetery in Paducah. She died at 9:10 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 7, 2013, Baptist Health Paducah.
She was a member of Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church, where she served as a trustee and president of the Usher Board. She was a member of the Brunch Club and a member and past matron of Queen Esther Chapter No. 4, Order of the Eastern Star. She was past Illustrious Commandress of Balkis Court No. 156; past Loyal Lady Ruler of Paducah Assembly No. 92; and past Grand Guardian of Cecilia Dunlap Grand Chapter of Diamonds, Prince Hall Affiliated.
She is survived by one daughter, Carolyn Prather of Paducah; one stepdaughter, Tammie Jackson of Paducah; two sons, Aaron Stafford Prather and Alfredro Funnicello Thompson, both of Paducah; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Frederick D. Thompson. Her parents were Sam Aaron and Laura L. Latham Prather.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 12, 2013, at the church, where Eastern Star rites will be conducted at 6 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 12, 2013.
