Rudy L. Hall Jr.
BENTON — Services for Rudy L. Hall Jr., 81, of Yorkville, Ill., formerly of Calvert City and Possum Trot, will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 6, 2013, at Collier Funeral Home in Benton. The Rev. Randy Stacy will officiate. Burial will be in Fooks Cemetery.
Mr. Hall died Monday, Sept. 2, 2013, at his home.
A veteran of the U.S. Air Force, Mr. Hall worked 27 years as a supervisor for Rexnord in Chicago and served on the board of directors for the Illinois Fire & Police Commissioners Association and as chairman of the Police Commissioners in Thornton, Ill. He also worked 15 years as the manager of Forest Hills in Paducah and was a member of Palma United Methodist Church in Marshall County.
Mr. Hall is survived by his wife of 62 years, Kathleen Hall; three children, Richard Hall of Kansas City, Kan., Linda Wing of Naperville, Ill., and Laurie Cosentino of Yorkville; eight grandchildren; one great-grandson; one brother, Victor Stateler of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and one sister, Nancy Foote of Midlothian, Texas.
He was preceded in death by one son, Randall Hall. His parents were Rudy and Virgie Long Hall.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 5, 2013, at the funeral home.
