Sallie Dye Cope, native of Paducah, Ky., born August 9, 1931, to the late Clifford R. Dye and Ona Mae Schoening Dye, died Friday, August 30, 2013, at 8:03 p.m. at Lourdes hospital.
Sallie was a member of Highland Cumberland Presbyterian Church. She attended Tilghman High School and was employed by Bell Telephone in Paducah for many years and was a member of the Telephone Pioneers.
Survivors include two brothers, Charles A. Dye of Haymarket, Va., and Myron Collier of Benton, Ky.; and three cousins, Velva Mullen of Paducah, Ky., Gayle Coffman of Kevil, Ky., and Raymond Dye of Paducah, Ky.
Preceding her in death was her husband, Terrell Mason Cope; one son, Michael Wayne Cope; her parents; one brother, Danny R. Dye; and her stepmother Oneida Dye.
Services will be held Thursday, September 5, 2013, at 2:00 p.m. at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with Rev. Brent Ballow officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Kenton Cemetery.
Friends may call after 12:30 p.m. Thursday, September 5, 2013, until service time at the Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah.
