Frank Joseph Antoine Sr.
BELLEVILLE, Ill. — Frank Joseph Antoine Sr., 80, of Belleville, Ill., died Saturday, August 31, 2013, surrounded by his family.
Born August 1, 1933, in East St. Louis, Ill., he was the son of the late Alphonse J. and Anna M., nee Jasudowicz, Antoine.
Frank worked for Hunter Packing Company for more than 40 years. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, whether that was coaching and playing baseball or softball, going on camping trips, going on family vacations, or just getting together to enjoy each other’s company. In his spare time he also enjoyed sports, hunting and fishing. Frank was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Belleville, Ill., and belonged to the Men’s Club at the church. He was a U.S. Army Korean War veteran.
Surviving are his loving wife of 55 years, Jacqueline Ellen, nee Thomas, Antoine, whom he married on January 11, 1958; five children, Frank J. (Diane) Antoine Jr. of Conway, Ark., Tom Antoine of Fairview Heights, Ill., Michelle (Mark) Pfeiffer of Belleville, Ill., Mary Lynn (Sam) Thompson of Paducah, Ky., and Eileen (Carl) Hausmann of Chesterfield, Mo.; 11 grandchildren, Meghan Antoine, Michael Pfeiffer, Daniel Antoine, Matthew Pfeiffer, Sam Thompson, Brittany Hausmann, Nick Thompson, Mark David Pfeiffer, Joshua Antoine, Sydney Hausmann and Jill Hausmann; one brother, Alphonse (Janet) Antoine of Lincoln, Ill., and many other loving relatives and friends.
The family wishes to extend their gratitude and special thanks to the emergency room staff at both St. Elizabeth’s Hospital, Belleville, Ill., and to Barnes-Jewish Hospital, St. Louis, Mo.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, September 2, 2013, and 9 to 10 a.m. Tuesday, September 3, 2013, at St. Mary Catholic Church, Belleville, Ill.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, September 3, 2013, at St. Mary Catholic Church, Belleville, Ill., with Msgr. William McGhee officiating.
Burial with military honors will be at Green Mount Catholic Cemetery, Belleville, Ill.
