Andrew P. Nelson
SOUTH FULTON, Tenn. — Andrew P. Nelson, 85, of South Fulton, Tenn., died Wednesday, August 21, 2013, at his home.
He was a member of Smith Street Church of Christ, the Fulton Country Club, and was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was a graduate of the University of Tennessee Medical College In Memphis, Tenn. He practiced medicine in Fulton, Ky., from 1961-1989 and was a former chief of staff at Parkway Regional Hospital.
He is survived by one son, Andrew P. (Cindy) Nelson Jr. of North Augusta, S.C.; one daughter, Eve (Bill) Nelson Dodson of Littleton, Colo., and three grandchildren, Andrew Nelson III, Jacob Nelson, and Anna Kate Nelson, all of North Augusta, S.C.; and a special friend, Mary Reams of South Fulton, Tenn.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Sue Adcock Nelson; one brother, Martin Young Nelson, and his parents, Charles Tate Nelson and Evelyn Young Nelson.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, August 24, 2013, at Hornbeak Funeral Chapel in Fulton with interment in Obion County Memorial Gardens. Friends may call the funeral home from 9 a.m. Saturday until the funeral hour.
