MARION — Dadie Marie Guess Orr Belt, 92, of Marion, passed away Wednesday, August 21, 2013, at the home of her son, surrounded by family.
She was born February 2, 1921, in Crittenden County to Northern A. “Jack” and Melba Duvall Guess.
She was a clerk at Red Front and Sureway in Marion and a Tupperware dealer for many years. She belonged to Marion Baptist Church for over 50 years and was a 50-year member of the Order Of The Eastern Star Chapter 135 and a member of the White Shrine of Marion.
She is survived by her son, Donald (Pam) Orr of Marion; daughters, Patty K. (Tony) Collins of Marion and Sharon (Ronnie) Riley of Marion; grandchildren, Stuart (Pam) Collins, Shannon (Denis) Hodge, Tiffany (Kevin) Floyd, Theresa (Sam) Epperson, Denise (Eddie) Lynn, Jared (Misty) Riley, Joshua (Michelle) Orr, and Shawna (Philip) Sharp; 14 great-grandchildren; two stepdaughters, Sandra Jo Valade and Carolyn Sue Driver; three stepgrandchildren; and several stepgreat-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her first husband of 21 years, Leman Orr; second husband of 21 years, Morris O. Belt; parents; two brothers, Rudolph Allen and Robert B. “Jackie” Guess; and great-grandson, Jake Hodge.
Services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Sunday, August 25, 2013, at Gilbert Funeral Home in Marion with interment in Mapleview Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 5 p.m.-8 p.m. Saturday, August 24, 2013, at the funeral home.
