JoAnn Hayden, 82, of Paducah, passed away at 10:50 a.m. on Saturday, August 17, 2013, at Superior Care Home.
Mrs. Hayden was a member of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, she was a former employee of Curtis & Mays and Payless Drugs and she was a wonderful seamstress. She was a member of Daughters of Isabella and Lourdes Hospital Auxiliary.
The Hayden family would like to express gratitude to the staff of Superior Care Home for the love and care given to their mother.
Mrs. Hayden is survived by three daughters, Patsy Hayden and husband Tommy, Linda O’Brian and husband Tony, all of Paducah, Ky., and Margie Heiar and husband Dave of Murfreesboro, Tenn.; four sons, Joe Hayden, Bernard Hayden and wife Connie, Philip Hayden and wife Melody, Mel Hayden and wife Debbie, all of Paducah, Ky.; 20 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Betty Jean Vanzo of Cold Springs, N.Y.; three sister-in-laws, Ann Wright of Memphis, Tenn., Mary Lou Blanchette of Batesville, Ark., and Jean Hayden of San Clemente, Calif.; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George B. Hayden Jr.; one sister, Eloise Kaler; and one brother, John Victor Woeltz. Her parents were John Joseph Woeltz and Ethel Gertrude Rawlings Woeltz Wurth.
A funeral mass will be held at noon on Wednesday, August 21, 2013, at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church with Rev. Brian Roby officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
The Hayden family will receive friends from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Tuesday, August 20, 2013, at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah. Prayers will be said at 8 p.m.
