ALMO — Joe Wayne Walker, 71, of Almo died Tuesday, August 6, 2013, at Baptist Health Paducah.
He was a former employee of the Tappan Stove Company and was self-employed as a farmer and operated an excavating business. He was a member of Flint Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Janette Tabers Walker; three daughters, Sharon Furches of Murray, Karon Johnson of Almo, and Regina St. Clair of Evansville, Ind.; two sisters, Sue Ross of Murray and Judy Mathis of Aurora; three brothers, Gerald Walker of Dexter, and Ronnie Walker, and Billy Dan Walker, both of Murray; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
His parents were Lowell and Zula Mae Lovett Walker.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, August 10, 2013, at J.H. Churchill Funeral Home with the Revs. Glenn Cope, Darrel Walker, and Brad Walker officiating. Burial will follow in Murray Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, August 9, 2013, at the funeral home.
