Helen Wolfington, 87, formerly of Livingston County and Paducah, died Thursday, June 14, 2013, at Royal Gardens assisted living in Camarillo, Calif.
She worked as a shipyard welder in World War II and later as a waitress, tile stacker, and live-in caretaker for the elderly.
She is survived by her children, Rudy Kitchens of Salem, Larry Wolfington of Ledbetter, Doug Wolfington of Paducah and Belinda Toohey of Thousand Oaks, Calif.
She is survived by four siblings, Jim Binkley of Denver, Doris Moffett of Evansville, Ind., Mary Lou Giarardot of Central, Ariz., and Vanda Engler of Burna; nine grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Cooper; one daughter, Pamela Wolfington; two great-grandchildren; two brothers, and three sisters.
Her parents were James Corbett Binkley and Sallie Ramage Binkley
There will be no public memorial service. A private interment at Cedar Grove Cemetery in Salem will take place at a later date.
