FULTON — James Albert “Jeff” Jeffress, 75, of Fulton died Tuesday, June 25, 2013, at the home of his daughter.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served in Korea. He retired from the former Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company in Union City, Tenn. He served as Post Commander of the Jones-Walker Post 4862 in Union City for 12 years. He was a member of Liberty Baptist Church in Fulton.
He is survived by three daughters, Kathy Jeffress Callison of Woodland Mills, Tenn., Bobbie Jeffress Hollingsworth of South Fulton, Tenn., and Janie Jeffress Johnson of Batesville, Miss.; two grandsons, and two brothers, Billy Jeffress of Garland, Texas, and Michael Jeffress of Fulton.
He was preceded in death by a stepdaughter, Michelle Rene Wade. His parents were Jessie (Stallins) and Albert Roper Jeffress.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, June 28, 2013, at Hornbeak Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in Union Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. - 8 p.m. Thursday, June 27, 2013, and after 8 a.m. Friday until the funeral hour at the funeral home.
