TAMMS, Ill. — Phyllis Ann Hancock, 63, of Tamms died at 10:40 a.m. Sunday, June 16, 2013, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.
She was a member of Tamms United Methodist Church, a retired technician for Choate Mental Health Center in Anna, and a volunteer for PAWS.
She is survived by one sister, Joy Varner of Tamms; one niece, Terri Farris; one nephew, Tim Varner; one great-nephew, and one great-niece.
Her parents were Herman Curtis Hancock and Rachel Mae (Benefield) Hancock.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 18, 2013, at Jones Funeral Home in Tamms with Rev. Pete Vinson officiating. Interment will follow in St. John’s Cemetery in rural Dongola.
Friends may call from 9 a.m. until the hour of service Tuesday at the funeral home.
