James Harper Sr.
CLINTON — James Franklin Harper Sr., 88, of Clinton died at 4:28 p.m. Thursday, June 13, 2013, at Clinton Hickman County ICF Nursing Home.
He was a member of Allen Chapel Methodist Church and a World War II Army veteran. He taught carpentry and masonry at Earle C. Clements Job Corps Center in Morganfield.
He is survived by two daughters, Al Jenoise Mason and Evelyn Montez Baker, both of Clinton; two sons, James Franklin Harper Jr. and Reginald Harper, both of Clinton; eight grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Jessie Bernice Milner Harper; two sisters, and one brother. His parents were James Harry Lora Harper and Evelyn Lena Farmer Harper.
Services will be at noon Friday, June 21, 2013, at Brown Funeral Home in Clinton with the Revs. Eugene McDonald, Lawrence Emerson, and Tonda Emerson officiating. Burial will follow in Clinton Cemetery.
