PRINCETON — Malcolm “Mac” Franklin, 99, of Princeton died at 4:15 a.m. Monday, June 10, 2013, at his home.
He retired from Breckinridge Job Corps maintenance and was a member of Shady Grove Masonic Lodge 559. He was a member of Donaldson Missionary Baptist Church.
He is survived by three sons, Reuben Franklin and Reed Franklin, both of Caldwell County, and Mike Franklin of Princeton; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one sister, Mary Clift of Princeton, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Eunice Harriett Watson Franklin; four brothers, and two sisters. His parents were Thomas William Franklin and Minnie Rice Keeney Franklin.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 13, 2013, at Morgan’s Funeral Home with the Revs. Mike Franklin officiating and Lester Watson assisting. Burial will follow in Morse Cemetery in Caldwell County. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, June 12, 2013, at the funeral home. Masonic services will be at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
