Georgetta and Dr. E. Lee James
Dr. and Mrs. E. Lee James of Paducah will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a reception from 2 to 4 p.m. June 9 at Bellview Baptist Church, where he served almost 19 years as pastor. All friends and relatives are invited. The couple requests no gifts.
Dr. James and the former Georgetta Calloway were married June 13, 1963, by the Rev. Allen Black at West Point Baptist Church in Ohio County.
Mrs. James is the daughter of the late James William and Goldie Elizabeth Calloway. She is a retired owner/operator of G.J.’s Style Salon.
Dr. James is the son of the late Foster and Corabel James. He is a redeployed Southern Baptist pastor serving as interim pastor at High Point Baptist Church in Mayfield.
They are the parents of three children: LeEtta Edwards of Dixon, Timothy Lee James of Atlanta and the late Robert Timothy James. They have five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
