“Fast & Furious 6”
Since Dom (Vin Diesel) and Brian’s (Paul Walker) heist in Rio left them and their crew rich people, they’ve scattered across the globe, still living as fugitives. Meanwhile, Agent Hobbs (Dwayne Johnson) has been tracking a gang of mercenary drivers whose second-in-command is someone Dom knows. Unable to take them down himself, Hobbs asks Dom and his crew for help in exchange for full pardons for everyone.
The buzz: With gravity-defying action sequences and high-octane humor, “Fast & Furious 6” is the epitome of summer blockbusters.

Ellis and his friend Neckbone find a man named Mud hiding out on an island in the Mississippi. Mud describes fantastic scenarios: he killed a man in Texas and vengeful bounty hunters are coming to get him. He says he is planning to meet and escape with the love of his life, Juniper, who is waiting for him in town. Skeptical but intrigued, Ellis and Neckbone agree to help him. It isn’t long until Mud’s visions come true.
The buzz: Bolstered by a strong performance from Matthew McConaughey in the title role, Mud offers an engaging drama that manages to stay sweet without being sappy.
Length: 130 min.
Show times: 7 and 9:30 p.m. Friday; 4, 7, and 9:30 p.m. Saturday; 4 and 7 p.m. Sunday at Maiden Alley Cinema.
