SOUTH FULTON, Tenn. — Billy Ray Ethridge, 82, of South Fulton died May 20, 2013, at his home.
He had attended the former Pentecostal Church in Hickman, Ky., and was a retired farmer who had worked for Rea Farms in Martin, Tenn.
He is survived by two daughters, Susie Chappell of Cookeville and Sherry Ethridge of South Fulton; one son, Billy Joe Ethridge of South Fulton; five stepdaughters, Janice Connell of Fulton, Ky., May King of Hickman, Debbie Williamson of South Fulton, Lula Bell Stroud of Gleason, and Rosie Baker of Union City; one stepson, Carl Rothman of Fulton; five grandchildren, 11 stepgrandchildren; 24 stepgreat-grandchildren; two stepgreat-great grandchildren; two sisters, Martha Buck of Knox, Ind., and Betty Jean Hill of Hickman, and two stepbrothers, Jimmy Bobbitt of Hickman and Gary Dale Bobbitt of North Carolina.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Pearl (Goff) Ethridge; one stepson, and one stepgrandchild.
His parents were Gladys (Mosley) and John Henry Ethridge.
A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 22, at the Hickman City Cemetery. There will be no visitation. Friends are asked to meet at the cemetery for the service.
