MAYFIELD — Ammond E. Balentine, 76, of Mayfield died at 2 p.m. Monday, April 15, 2013, at Jackson Purchase Medical Center in Mayfield.
He was a retired concrete mason and was a member of New Hope Baptist Church.
He is survived by four daughters, Lisa Balentine of LaCrescenta, Calif., Stacey Perkins, Mona Sellars, and Kim Davis, all of Mayfield; one son, Joe Chambers of Mayfield; three brothers, Noah Stallons of Dexter, Richard Stallons of Benton, and Garfield Stallons of Aurora; four sisters, Wanda Colson and Helen Boggs, both of Aurora, Inna Wallace of Murray, and Bessie Ball of Magnolia; nine grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Ruby Stallons Balentine.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 18, 2013, at Brown Funeral Home in Mayfield with the Revs. William Strong and Fred Harrison officiating. Burial will follow in Bethany Baptist Church Cemetery in Farmington. Friends may call from 5-9 p.m. Wednesday, April 17, 2013, at the funeral home.
