MURRAY — Bill Burnley, 80, of Murray died Monday, April 1, 2013, at Baptist Health Paducah.
Mr. Burnley was a retired physics and astronomy professor at Murray State University and later at Paducah Community College. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean War.
He is survived by his wife, Marie Burnley; one son, James Burnley of Louisville; two daughters, Anna Burnley of Tallahassee, Fla., and Mona Simone of Louisville; two brothers, Wayne Burnley of Jackson, Miss., and Charles Burnley of Searcy, Ark.; one sister, Mary Ella Epps of St. Louis; and three grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by five brothers and one sister. His parents were Willie Lee and Ora Mae Burnley.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, April 5, 2013, at Imes-Miller Funeral Home in Murray with the Rev. Phillip McClure officiating. Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. Friday at Kinsey Cemetery near Neelyville, Mo. Military rites will be observed.
The family will receive visitors between 5-8 p.m. Thursday, April 4, 2013, at the funeral home.
