OLMSTED, Ill. — Louise Schwieger Golightly, 94, of Olmsted, passed away Sunday night, March 24, 2013, at 11:05 p.m. at the Metropolis Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Metropolis.
Mrs. Golightly was born February 9, 1919, in Olmsted, Ill. Her parents were Otto and Louise Dagner Schwieger.
Louise and the Rev. Edward Feisal were united in marriage on March 15, 1952. During their 19 years together, they pastored churches in Latham, Mo., Long Point, Lomax, Tallula, Chapin and Gerlaw in Illinois throughout their ministry.
Louise was a licensed cosmetologist. She attended beauty school in Springfield, Ill., and then opened her own shop in Olmsted on January 1, 1972. She retired on August 15, 1982. Louise and Vernon Golightly Sr. were married August 15, 1982. She was a member of the Olmsted United Methodist Church and she enjoyed gardening.
Survivors include one sister, Ruth Wasson of Metropolis; four nephews, Murray Schwieger of Marion, Ark., Brad Schwieger of Cape Girardeau, Mo., Bruce Schwieger of Olive Branche, Ill., and Jim Bagby of Paducah, Ky.; four nieces, Ruth Ann Allcock of Cape Girardeau, Mo., Becky Davis of Grand Chain, Ill., Robin Shelton of Paducah, Ky., and Dana Schwieger of Cape Girardeau, Mo.; a stepson, Vernon Golightly Jr. of Barlow, Ky.
Mrs. Golightly was preceded in death by her first husband, the Rev. Edward Feisal (February 13, 1971); her second husband, Vernon Golightly Sr. (August 26, 1993); her parents, Otto and Louise Dagner Schwieger, four brothers, Cecil, Norman, Raymond and Loren Schwieger; one sister, Thelma Bagby; and one niece, Paula Schwieger.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 27, 2013, at 2:30 p.m. at Wilson Funeral Home in Karnak. Phil Davis will be officiating. Interment will be in the Green Lawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Villa Ridge.
Visitation will be Wednesday, March 27, 2013, from 12 noon until the funeral at 2:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
