Juanita Hobbs Boggess, age 85, formerly of Paducah, passed away at 4:35 a.m. Tuesday, March 26, 2013, at the Southgate Nursing & Rehab Center at Metropolis, Illinois.
Born in Pensacola, Florida, Juanita had worked as a cashier at K-Mart. She was a longtime member of the Grace Baptist Church.
Juanita is survived by her daughter, Diane Hargrove and her husband Tom of Reidland, and her son, Walter “Rusty” Boggess Jr. and his wife Debbie, also of Reidland. Additional survivors include a brother, Elmer Hobbs of Pensacola, and five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Juanita was preceded in death by her husband, Walter William Boggess, and a brother, Lester N. Hobbs. Her parents were Dennis Hobbs and Annie Mae Pearson Hobbs Hurst.
Graveside services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 27, 2013, at Mount Kenton Cemetery with Tom Hargrove officiating.
Friends may visit with the family after 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 27, 2013, at the Lone Oak Chapel of Milner & Orr Funeral Home.
