TUMWATER, Wash. — Wanda Jean Mathis Logan, born Jan. 1, 1930, passed on March 14, 2013, in Tumwater, Washington.
A graduate of Lowes High School in Graves County, Ky., Wanda was a published author and an operator for Bell Telephone Co. in Michigan before moving to Tumwater in 1979.
She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Bill Logan; her daughter, Elaine Taylor of Virginia; her son, Roger Logan of California, and her brother, Herbert Levi Mathis of Melber, Kentucky. Preceding her in passing were her parents, James and Candace Womble Mathis; six brothers and five sisters. Graveside services were held Monday, March 18, 2013, at Fern Hill Cemetery in Aberdeen, Washington.
