MAYFIELD — Sylvia Shirley Futrell, 84, of Mayfield died at 4:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 12, 2013, at her home.

She was a member of Northside Baptist Church, a retired secretary for Northside Baptist Church, and former employee of J.J. Newberry Department Store.

She is survived by one daughter, Donna Dawson of Mayfield; two grandchildren, Brian Dawson of Hickory and Cindy Dawson of Mayfield; and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Don Futrell. Her parents were Clarence and Nola Babb Fisk.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, March 15, 2013, at Brown Funeral Home in Mayfield with the Revs. Gary Frizzell and Terry Clapp officiating. Burial will follow in Mayfield Memory Gardens. Friends may call after 5 p.m. Thursday, March 14, 2013, at the funeral home.
