Ms. Maria DeWitte, age 97, died at her home, Wednesday, March 13, 2013.

Ms. DeWitte attended the Gospel Assembly Church in Paducah, Ky. She retired from Western Baptist Hospital as a Nurse Aide in 1981.

Ms. DeWitte immigrated from the Netherlands to the United States in 1956, with her three minor daughters, Ruth Mulder Doran, Margaret Mulder Hutchison and Marianna Mulder Durr, for freedom of religion and for the opportunity to serve the Lord.

Ms. DeWitte is survived by her three daughters, Ruth Doran and husband Wayne, Margaret Hutchison, and Marianna Durr and husband Michael; eight grandchildren, Debbie Barger and husband Joey, Dianna Street, Tammie Stom, Scott Jones and wife Melissa, Jonathan Durr and wife Nancy, Jennifer Reed and husband Ted, Keith Doran and wife Laura, and Timothy Doran and wife Gaydra; one sister, Akka Kamphuis of Holland, Miss.; Ms. DeWitte had sixteen great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Mark Williams and Dawn Hutchison; three sisters; two brothers; and her parents, Herre DeWitte and Rurrtte DeWitte, also preceded her in death.

Visitation will be held at the Keeling Family Funeral Home on Thursday, March 14, 2013 from 5:00 p.m. till 8:00 p.m. and Friday 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at the Gospel Assembly Church.

Funeral services will be Friday, March 15, 2013, at 1:00 p.m. at the Gospel Assembly Church, 2100 Ohio Street, Paducah, Kentucky 42003, with the Revs. Encil Edmonds, Michael Hunt and Bernard Lewis officiating.
