FRANKFORT — Graveside services for Harold Howard Wilkins of Frankfort, a native of Marshall County, will be at 2 p.m. Monday, March 11, 2013, at Calvert City Cemetery in Calvert City.

Mr. Wilkins died Thursday, March 7, 2013, at Lexington’s Veterans Affairs Hospital.

Mr. Wilkins was a graduate and former basketball player at Murray State University and formerly taught school at Hickman County High School. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving two tours in Vietnam, and was awarded a Purple Heart, Bronze Star and Silver Star.

Mr. Wilkins was an electrical contractor and president of Wilkins Electric for 27 years.

He is survived by his children, Karen Wilkins Schneider of Frankfort and Kevin Wilkins of Lexington; four grandchildren; one sister, Patsy Wilkins Forrest of Murfreesboro, Tenn., and three brothers, Philip Wilkins and Gary Wilkins, both of Frankfort, and Jim Wilkins of Dawsonville, Ga.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Schmidt Wilkins.

His parents were Howard and Dora Monhollen Wilkins.

Friends may call from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday, March 10, 2013, at Rogers Funeral Home in Frankfort.
