BOAZ — Joyce Brookshire, 73, of Boaz died Tuesday, March 5, 2013, at 12:45 p.m. at Parkview Nursing and Rehab.
Joyce was a longtime member of Bellview Baptist Church. She was retired from Normandy Manufacturing where she served as a pressor. Joyce had a great love for her Lord and Savior and both her family and church family. She loved working in her flowers and her dogs were very special to her.
Survivors include one daughter, Kathy Joyce (David) Turner of Boaz, Ky.; one son, Darrell Louis Brookshire and his fiancee, Johnna Carter of Boaz, Ky.; two sisters, Shirley Ann (Bob) Mueller of Paducah, Ky., and Wilma Sue (Billy) Bottoms of Boaz, Ky.; her twin brother, Kenneth Ray (Mary) Lane of Paducah, Ky.; five grandchildren, Kelly Lynn Vinson, Christi Fay (Chevy) Simmons, Mandy Jean (Stephen) Wurth, Becky Sue Brookshire and Jake Louis Brookshire; two great-grandchildren, Kade Vinson and Terry Cam Simmons, and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were her husband, Terry Louis Brookshire; her father, Solon Lane; her mother and stepfather, Anna Louise Rainey Lane Ellis and William Ellis, and one brother, Bobby Joe Lane.
Services will be held Friday, March 8, 2013, at 11 a.m. at the Lone Oak Chapel of Milner & Orr Funeral Home with the Rev. Mike Nolen officiating. Burial will follow in Houser Grove Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Thursday, March 7, 2013, after 5 p.m. at the Lone Oak Chapel Milner & Orr Funeral Home.
