MURRAY — James A. “Jitter” Allbritten, age 77, of Murray, Ky., died Sunday, March 3, 2013, at Lourdes hospital in Paducah, Ky.

Mr. Allbritten was born May 7, 1935, in Logan, W.V., to the late James R. and Iva Mae Morgan Allbritten.

He was a retired supervisor for Air Products in Calvert City, after 52 years of service.

He was also a member of Glendale Road Church of Christ and a graduate of New Concord High School.

Survivors include his wife, Janice Parker Allbritten of Murray; they married May 7, 1957, in Murray, Ky.; his daughter, Karen Cain and husband Daryl of Murray; two sons, Kevin Allbritten and wife Sherrie of Palm Harbor, Fla., and Kritt Allbritten and wife Stacy of Paducah, Ky.; his sister, Polly Carroll of Paducah, Ky.; his brother, Bill Allbritten and wife Carol of Aberdeen, Md.; five grandchildren, Tori Glover of Murray, Richard Allbritten, Westley Allbritten and Alyssa Allbritten, all of Palm Harbor, Fla., and Ali Allbritten of Paducah, Ky.; also a special friend, Gabby.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 6, 2013, at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home. John Dale and Jason Hart will officiate and entombment will follow in the Murray Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 5, 2013, at J.H. Churchill Funeral Home.
