GOLCONDA, Ill. — Avery E. Turner, 84, of Golconda died Friday, March 1, 2013, at his home.

He was a farmer.

He is survived by three daughters, Shirley Walker, Susan Johnson and Loretta Faust; one son, Floyd B. Turner; 25 grandchildren; 53 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Sharon; and one brother, Don Turner.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Georgia; two daughters, Linda Rorer and Lana Turner; three sons, Alan Turner, James Turner and Thomas Turner; and two brothers. His parents were Floyd and Pearl (Joiner) Turner.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 5, 2013, at Aly Funeral Home in Golconda.

Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, March 4, 2013, at the funeral home.
