MAYFIELD — Bertie Payne Clapp, 100, of Mayfield died Friday, March 1, 2013, at Green Acres Healthcare.

She was retired from Merit Clothing Company and a member of the Church of Christ.

She is survived by one daughter, Frances Wallace of Memphis, Tenn., and five grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, H.S. Jodie Clapp; one son, Waylon Lawrence; three brothers, and four sisters. Her parents were Noah Matthew and Laura Ann Wilson Bruce.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 3, 2013, at Byrn Funeral Home in Mayfield with Carl Scoggins officiating. Interment will follow in Pryorsburg Cemetery. Friends may call after 1 p.m. today at the funeral home.
