VIENNA, Ill. — Roy Lee Gibson, 73, of Vienna died at 8:06 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2013, at Heartland Regional Medical Center in Marion.
Mr. Gibson was a retired truck driver and member of the Teamsters Union. He was a timber man and logger and assisted with the operation of the family livestock operation.
Survivors include his wife, Sherry Tyler Gibson; his children, Teresa Smith of Belknap, Roger Gibson of Paducah, Dwight Ewing of Jefferson County and Lisa Gibson of Texas; a stepson, James Gibson of Vienna; 14 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Bonnie Gibson, Loretta Gibson and Jeanette Holly, all of Evansville, Ind.
He was preceded in death by one son, Randy Lynn Gibson; one grandson, and two brothers. His parents were Arlie Gibson and Mable Pearl Gaunts Gibson Harris.
Graveside services will be at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, March 3, 2013, at New Hope Cemetery near New Columbia.
Friends may call after 2 p.m. Sunday, March 3, 2013, at the cemetery.
