MADISONVILLE — Rodger Dean Carroll Sr., 62, of Madisonville died Tuesday, February 26, 2013, at Brighton Cornerstone Healthcare.

He was employed by Peabody Coal Camp 11 as a coal miner, and was of the Baptist faith.

He is survived by one daughter, Stephanie Carroll Crick of White Plains; one son, Rodger Dean Carroll Jr. of Paducah; one  sister, Margaret Carner of Dawson Springs; and six grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by three sisters and three brothers. His parents were Edgar Brown Carroll and Ruby Mae Johnson Carroll.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday, March 1, 2013, at Beshear Funeral Home in Dawson Springs with Rev. Rodger Dean Carroll Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Ilsley Cemetery in Ilsley, Ky.

Friends may call from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, February 28, 2013, and Friday, March 1, 2013, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
