Effie Stewart Smith, 92, of Paducah, passed away Saturday, February 23, 2013, at Hunter Acres Caring Center in Sikeston, Mo.

She is survived by sons, Bobby G. Smith and wife JoAnn, Harve W. Smith and wife Celia, Steven A. Smith and wife Beverly, all of Paducah, John V. Smith and wife Cindy of North Carolina; a daughter, Sheila R. Smith of Paducah; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Monroe and Clellie McKnight Stewart; husband, Harve Webster Smith; sons, Roger Dale Smith and Dennis Wayne Smith; a sister, Marie Mitchell; and a brother, Earby K. Stewart.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, March 1, 2013, at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah.

Burial will follow at Maplelawn Park Cemetery. Rev Wayne Carter will officiate. Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, February 28, 2013, at the funeral home.
