Benjamin “Benny” Franklin Blakely, 91, of Paducah died at 3:53 a.m. Monday, February 18, 2013, at Superior Care Home of Paducah.

He was a U.S. Navy veteran. He was formerly employed in environmental services at Martin Marietta. He was of the Baptist faith.

He is survived by one daughter, Fayette Clark of Paducah; three grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Blakely, and one sister. His mother was Virginia Jenkins.

Services will be at noon Monday, February 25, 2013, at Pettus-Rowland Funeral Home with the Rev. Michael Wade officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery.

Friends may also call from 11 a.m. until the funeral hour Monday at the funeral home.
