BENTON — Gary Lowell Adkins, 73, of Benton, formerly of Ironton, Ohio, died at 2:24 a.m. Monday, Feb. 18, 2013, at Lourdes hospital in Paducah.

Mr. Adkins was a self-employed contractor.

He is survived by one daughter, Debbie Humphrey of Ironton; one grandson, Shane Humphrey; one brother, James E.F. Adkins of Ironton, and one sister, Vickie Jenkins of Haverhill, Ohio.

He was preceded in death by his son, Michael Shane Adkins. His parents were Frank Adkins and Grace Tasker Hughes.

There will be no funeral services. Filbeck-Cann & King Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
